AQUATICS DIRECTOR

Natalie has been an employee of the Mayfair for over the last 10 years. Natalie is an experienced lifeguard and swim instructor who has a passion for her job. She takes great pride in seeing swimmers develop to their full potential, which she sees as a life necessity. She is a York University graduate with a BA in Communications and Sociology with honors. She also has her Aquatic Superviror Traning (AST), Bronze Examiners, and aqua-fit instructor certification. Finally, Natalie started our Lakeshore junior swim team, which has been an instant success.

Through the use of properties of water, the participants are able to challenge their nervous and respiratory systems. Through gaining control of your balance, coordination, and endurance, you are in better control of the degree of difficulty of your workout. By using the water’s resistance instead of strenuous equipment, the body receives an all over workout while lessening the impact on your body. Additionally, because water decreases the amount of shock to your body it also decreases the joint loading. It really is the best work out for your body without impacting the muscle and joints. Aquafitness is a relaxing, social, safe, and gratifying class. It is also fabulous for pregnant women!! So what are you waiting for? Jump in!

Monday – Friday: 9:10 – 10:00am
Mondays & Wednesdays: 7:05 -7:55pm
Fridays: 7:35 – 8:25pm

Sundays: 4:05-4:55pm.

Open Swim

The pool is open to members of all ages. Those under 14 years of age MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian 16 years of age or older.  The pool is unsupervised.

Adult Swim

The pool is open to adults over the age of 14.  Swimmers will choose a lane based on their ability and the skills of others in the pool.

FLUID MOTION | H2O | H2O TURBO | MASTERSWIM | NOODLE CLASS | WATER RUN


Fluid Motion

A flotation belt is worn during this refreshing and healing workout. All muscle groups are gently strengthened without putting any strain on the joints. The instructor will modify the exercises for those with arthritis, tendonitis, hip or knee injuries or replacements. This class is excellent for relieving back pain as it stretches and strengthens the spine. During this class, the pool is open only to participants of Fluid Motion.

H2O


This class uses a variety of equipment for resistance training in the deep and shallow ends of the pool. The pool is closed except to those signed up for H2O.

H2O Turbo


This high powered aquatic workout combines a challenging, energized kick-box circuit and propulsion moves for a high intensity class. The pool is closed except to those participating in H2O Turbo.

Masterswim


Great for general fitness, this drills and fitness based swimming workout is led by an instructor and is especially ideal for those in training for triathlons. Masterswimmers get an integrated workout and improve their swimming skills. During this class, the pool is open only to Masterswimmers. * Please sign-up at the front desk 48 hours in advance.

Noodle Class


This great water workout is for cardiovascular training, calorie burning and muscle strengthening. The noodle is integrated into the class to add resistance to this low-impact workout. During this class, the pool is open only to participants of the workout.

Water Run


Water Run is an intense cardiovascular workout designed to alleviate stress on the joints, while maximizing cardiovascular running ability. Prior swimming experience is a requirement. During this class, the pool is open only to Water Run participants.

SWIMMING LESSONS


Mayfair Lakeshore offers swim lessons all year round, to participants of all ages.

We have 4 main intense weekly sessions for the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer months.

We follow the Lifesaving Societies:
Parent and Tot 1, 2, 3
Preschool A-E levels
Swimmer 1-6 levels
Adult lessons
Fitness Swimmer

We also have a Mayfair Swim Team, which is held on Thursday nights.

Mayfair offers fitness swimmer to improve endurance and strokes for those children who have quickly progressed through the levels and want to keep up their swimming skills.

We offer Lifesaving levels such as:

Rookie Patrol
Ranger Patrol
Star Patrol
Bronze Star
Bronze Medallion
Bronze Cross

Swimming Lesson Schedule:

Mondays: 10:30am-1:00pm & 3:00pm-7:00pm

Tuesdays: 10:30am-1:00pm & 3:00pm-7:30pm

Wednesday: 4:00pm-7:00pm

Thursday: 10:30am-1:00pm & 3:00pm-7:30pm

Friday: 10:30am-1:00pm & 3:00pm-7:30pm

Saturday: 9:00am-4:00pm

Sunday: 9:00am-4:00pm

Lessons run 7 days a week, for a period of 9 weeks. An additional 10th week for make-up lesson for a missed lessons.

Who can participate?

Members: Members are always welcomed to sign up for our program.

Non Members: We do allow non-members to participate in one session; however after the session is complete, should you want to continue, the non-member must become a member.

Swim Lesson Rates:

Depending on the length, level, member status, the rates are different. For more information, please look at the Lakeshore Aquatics Brochure (above).

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

If you’re looking for something new, Mayfair has just what you need!  We offer a wide range of Birthday parties for both members and non-members, including a pool birthday party. The pool may be closed for a birthday party or special event, signs will be posted at least 1 week in advance.
