SALES

Membership Salesperson

 A full time Membership Salesperson is required immediately for our bright and busy Health Club facility.

 Key Responsibilities:

As a productive member of our Sales Team, your key responsibilities will be to:

 

  • Represent the Club in a professional and courteous manner at all times; both in attitude and attire.
  • Provide tour of facility to guests and members with a focus on Membership Sales.
  • To possess the flexibility to work a combination of days, evenings and weekends.
  • Provide regular reporting to Sales Director in relation to all aspects of prospecting and sales.
  • Initiate Membership Sales both internally and externally:

 

External Sales Prospecting:

 

This is a major part of the role which may entail leaving the club to visit potential prospecting sites.

The salesperson will be responsible for creating customized presentations for potential groups/corporate clients with the guidance of the Director of Sales and Director of Marketing.

The salesperson will work in cooperation with different department managers ie: Fitness, squash, tennis etc… design complimentary seminars/workout sessions/health fairs and other such events to compliment presentations, external promotions such as fairs, trade shows etc..

 

Internal Prospecting:

 

The sales person would get to know the club membership and host different initiatives to gain referrals and other types of internal of leads regarding potential membership sales.  These initiatives would be approved through the Director of Sales and Director of Marketing to ensure all policies are adhered to.

 

Key Interpersonal Skills Requirements:    

  • A proven level of expertise in dealing with both the general public and staff.
  • Flexibility – to work a varied schedule of days, evenings and weekends.
  • 2-3 years Experience working in a Sales environment
  • Committed to excellent customer service.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
  • Effective time management techniques.
  • Ability to effectively work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
