      Club News

    • NEW YEAR WELCOME BACK MEMBER PARTY

      January 24th | 6:30pm - 9:30pm

      Join us for our New Year Member Party to welcome everyone to 2019!

      There will be “Pub Crawl” themed food & drink pairing stations, as well as complimentary organic cold press juice tastings. Please note that there will be no a ’la carte service this evening. Live music will be provided by The Maze. The event is complimentary for members. Pick up your tickets for the event at the Front Desk.

    • Reopening Update

      As of 2019, we will have completed all of our renovations of our facility and all studios and spaces have been fully reopened. If you haven’t had a chance yet – come and check out the new Wellness Spa and Sports Clinic. We now have a hair salon and barber shop on site and a gorgeous new space with some new team members! The Mind Body Studio is also open now and we’ve got some great new classes everyone will be sure to enjoy! Thank you for all of your patience during this period of transformation! We are excited to see what our members can do in the new spaces in 2019!

    • EXPERT CORNER | Mary Paterson

      Mary Paterson is a yoga teacher at Mayfair Clubs. She teaches an early morning Functional Yoga class on Mondays at 6:30am at Mayfair Lakeshore. She also just recently wrote a book titled “The Monks and Me” that tells the story of the 40 days she spent living in a Buddhist monastery called “Plum Village” in France. We are honored to have her write a guest post on our blog this month!

      Tennis

    • ADULT DRILLS AND THRILLS

      December 24 – January 4 | Morning: 9:30am - 11am | Afternoon: 12:30pm - 2:30pm

      Cost: $60 per 2 hour session, do two sessions in same day and we buy your lunch that day!

      Adult Drills and Thrills will be each weekday during the above dates except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Lunch is provided free of charge if you register for both the morning and afternoon session in the same day. Participants will be divided into groups based on skill level. Drills will concentrate on all strokes, tactical drills and some match play.     • MAYFAIR WEST TENNIS CAMP

      December 24 – January 4

      Price: $90 per full-day, $55 per half-day

      Tennis camps will be running during the Winter Break, expect for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Full-day, morning and afternoon options are available. Full-day campers receive two hours of tennis in the morning and afternoon, lunch is provided as well as recreational swim to end the day. For AM campers, tennis and lunch is included. For PM campers, tennis and swim is included. We also offer instructional swim at a daily rate of $9.50 + HST.     • MAYFAIR CHALLENGE LADDER

      January 15 – April 30

      This is your chance to play singles matches and be grouped with players based on your tennis rating. Box winners will receive monthly prizes and there will be session prizes handed out at the end of the three-month session (January to April) for the players with the most points and for those who played all their matches.     • DOUBLES LEAGUES

      October 1 – April 30

      Mayfair West will have a variety of Ladies’, Men’s and Mixed Doubles Leagues for players of various skill levels. Ladies Leagues are available Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:30am-12:30pm and Thursdays from 11:30am-1:30pm for home matches. Mixed Leagues are available on Saturday afternoons from 3:30-5:30pm for home matches. Men’s Leagues play from 5:30pm – 7:30pm for home matches.

      Personal Training

    • ELITE SMALL GROUP TRAINING - NEW TIMES FOR THE NEW YEAR

      Starting January 7 | New times: Saturday at 9:00am and Thursday at 6:15am

      Small Group Training sessions are done on the Connexus Perimeter units in groups of 3 to a maximum of 6 people.  Emphasis is on functional exercises that will isolate all the major core exercises. Equipment used are TRX, Matrix power sled, Kettle Balls, Plyo Benches, Battle Ropes and free weights.   Personal Trainers are certified to teach you in this unique and intense format.

      This is a fun, high energy class that is ever changing.  Although it is a boot camp class, it’s nothing like you’ve done before. We use hammers, bosus, trampolines, weights, heavy ropes, TRX and much more. Class spirit is a major staple of this workout.     • *NEW* POWER PUMP

      Now Available | 1 HR | Tuesdays | 10:00 am with Al Greene/Kerry Lloyd

      Power Pump is a head to toe workout that incorporates barbells, dumbbells, core and functional training into one highly intensive workout. The benefits include bone health, balance, improved range of motion, along with overall muscular strength and conditioning. This will be a great compliment to the Group Power class.  Please note that this class will be set up as a week on, week off class.       Functional Spinal Health is a class that promotes overall joint health and pays particular attention to spinal health.       Aquatics

    • WINTER 2019 SWIM SESSION

      January 2019

      Registration is currently open – limited spaces available.

    • Parent & Tot program, Preschool A-E & Swimmer 1-6:

      January - March | Monday – Thursday 4pm - 8pm | Saturday - Sunday 9am - 6pm

      Our preschool levels are designed for students from ages 2-5. Students work on their floats, glides, flutter kicks, side breathing, front & back swim.

      Our swimmer levels are for all swimmers ages 6+. Swimmers are taught the proper swim techniques and skills. Our swim instructors work with each child individually to make sure that they are taught the proper swimming skills and techniques.  Each student will be working on progressions steps throughout the session, in order to accomplish the swim levels.  Private classes, semi-private classes and group lessons are available. All classes are 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour.

    • Sport Fundamental program:

      January – March | Monday – Sunday

      This program focuses on all stroke improvements, sprints and endurance changes. Participants will complete challenging skills sequences, covering all swim strokes and some pre-lifeguarding skills. Semi-private classes and group lessons are available.

    • Rookie, Ranger & Ranger star:

      January - March | Monday - Thursday or Saturday & Sunday

      This course is for students who have completed all swim levels and are looking for a challenge. Swim patrol training puts your child on the path to Lifeguarding.

    • Bronze Star, Bronze Medallion & Bronze Cross:

      January - March | 9am - 11am

      These programs teach an understanding of the lifesaving principles, embodied in the four components of water rescue education: judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness. It is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training, including an introduction to safety supervision in aquatic facilities. (Bronze Star candidates must be 12yrs old. Bronze Medallion candidates must be 13 yrs old. Bronze Cross candidates must be 13+yrs old and have bronze medallion +emergency first aid.)

    • Advanced swimming:  Swim team:

      January - March | Tuesday 7:00am - 8:00am |Sunday 11:30am -12:30pm

      This program is designed for swimmers who have completed all swim levels and want to improve their overall physical fitness in the water. The swim team provides a structured approach based on training principles and practices. Participants will be encouraged to set their own goals through interval training.

    • Adult swim lessons 

      January - March | Monday – Thursday | Saturday & Sunday | Level 1-3

      This adult program has been designed for swimmers of all levels. The focus of this program is to teach everyone according to their swim ability and to improve swim stroke and techniques. Each participant is taught according to their needs.

    • Adult fitness swim

      January - March | Tuesday 7:00am - 8:00am

      The Adult fitness swim program is for individuals seeking an alternative to conventional fitness. The program is designed to enhance competitive swimming abilities, improve swim stroke technique and personal fitness. With proper training, you will build up endurance, so you can swim continuously without stopping. You will also improve swim strokes and breathing through drills. Must know how to swim.

    • WINTER BREAK SPORT CAMP

      January 2 - 4, 2019 | 9:00am – 4:00pm 

      This Holiday Break, fill your child’s days with learning specific sport skills and drills. Morning, afternoon and full-day options available, as well as lunch options at no additional cost.
