Congratulations to our own Alice Brinkis, of Mayfair Lakeshore, for placing 3rd in her category in the Sprint Triathlon at the Toronto Center Island event, on August 18, 2019. What an athlete!

Mayfair West Junior Tennis Assessment
For those currently registered in our program for the first time, we invite you to attend our Open Assessment. Arrive on Tues. Sept. 3rd or Wed. Sept 4th, anytime between 6:30pm and 8:30pm to have your child assessed by our tennis pros so we can ensure they are registered for the correct level.
Registration for our Fall Junior Tennis program is now open to the public. We offer small class sizes for all ages and levels from 4 years old and up. After-school and weekend classes are available. Classes are filling up quickly, so sign up today! A brochure is available on our website in the “Sports” section. Ladies League Tryouts | $20 + HST |Wed. Sept. 11th & Mon. Sept. 16th@ 10:15am
If you are interested in playing on one of our ladies’ doubles league teams throughout the fall, winter and spring then you are invited to attend one of our tryouts. You can attend either on Wed. Sept. 11th or Mon. Sept. 16th 10:30-12:30pm. You may only try out at one Mayfair location for a ladies team. Mayfair West Summer Challenge LadderMay 27 – September 15 | TBA | Session | $30
The three-month Summer session of the Mayfair West Singles Challenge Ladder begins on May 27th and runs until mid-September. This is your chance to play singles matches and be grouped with players based on your tennis rating. Box winners will receive monthly prizes and there will be session prizes handed out in at the end of the three-month session (January to April) for the players with the most points and for those who played all their matches. The cost to join is $30 + HST (which covers participation until the end of April) and registration forms will be available at the front desk. New classes coming this Fall!
Power Up class Series -The Power Up Series of classes exploits the use of 60% of 1 rep max exercise protocols. This class develops strength power, coordination, and technique. The POWER UP series of classes’ consists of anywhere from 5 to 25 exercises, each done for 30 seconds, repeated thru 4 to 6 cycles. The instructor will decide on either a total body, upper body, lower body, core workout or a combination of all. If you want to burn some serious calories and reshape your body via increased metabolic rate, then this is the class for you.
Power Up Total Body– The POWER UP TOTAL BODY class consists of anywhere from 5 to 25 total body exercises, each done for 30 seconds, repeated thru 4 to 6 cycles. This class will work the entire body with multi joint full body exercises. If you want to burn some serious calories and reshape your body via increased metabolic rate, then this is the class for you.

This class develops strength power, coordination, and technique. The POWER UP CORE class consists of anywhere from 5 to 25 exercises, each done for 30 seconds, repeated thru 4 to 6 cycles. If you want to burn some serious calories and reshape via increased metabolic rate, and build a powerful mid section, then this is the class for you.
Countdown – The Countdown, is a multi dimensional, exercise class that has you doing 8 exercises 10 reps, 10 cycles utilizing the every minute on the minute (EMOM) format counting down to a single rep. Sounds simple but don’t let the simplicity fool you. The class is over when the last rep is done. Always changing, never the same class twice.
Tabata Blast – A Tabata Format class, The Tabata Blast has you doing 4 or 5 rounds, 2 exercises per round, 1 cardio, 1 strength. Using the Tabata protocol this class will take you to the limit. Body composition redesign is the goal with this class. Come check it out.
Go Row – This class is all about teamwork. 4 to 8 teams work to hit distance or workload bench marks set up by the instructor. The race is on to see to gets there first. We then sprinkle in some extra cardio and conditioning work to round out the workout.

Our preschool levels are designs for students from ages 2-5. Students work on their floats, glides, flutter kicks, side breathing, front & back swim.
Our swimmer levels are for all swimmers ages 6+. Swimmers are taught the proper swim techniques and skills. Our swim instructors work with each child individually to ensure adequate progression. Each student will be working on developmental steps throughout the session in order to accomplish the swim levels. Private classes, Semi-private classes and or Group lessons are available. All classes are 30minutes, 45minutes or 1hour in length.
SPORT FUNDAMENTAL PROGRAMStart Date Sept - Nov | Monday – Thurs 3.00-8.00 | Sat - Sunday 9.00-6.00

The Sport program focuses on all stroke improvements, sprints and endurance changes. Participants will complete challenging skills sequences, covering all swim strokes and some pre-lifeguarding skills.
ROOKIE, RANGER & RANGER STARStart dates: Sept – Nov | Monday – Thurs 3.00-8.00 | Sat - Sunday 9.00-6.00
This course is for students who have completed all swim levels and are looking for a challenge. Swim patrol training puts your child en route to Lifeguarding. These courses include a first aid component and swim technique component.
BRONZE STAR, BRONZE MEDALLION & BRONZE CROSSStart date Sept – Nov | Sunday Times: 9.00 - 11:00 | Wednesday Times: 6.00 - 7.00
Bronze medallion and Bronze Cross programs are designed for all candidates who are seeking a thrill in the lifeguarding challenge. Bronze star candidates must be 12yrs old. Bronze medallion candidates must be 13 year of age & Bronze cross candidate must be 13+ and have bronze medallion + emergency first aid. *Completion of these courses is mandatory for those who wish to become certified lifeguards. *
ADVANCED SWIMMING: SWIM TEAMSept –Nov | Monday – Thurs 3.00-8.00 | Sat - Sunday 9.00-6.00
This program is designed for swimmers who have completed all of their swim levels and want to improve their overall physical fitness in the water. The swim team provides a structured approach based on training principles and practices. Participants will be encouraged to set their own goals through interval training.
ADULT FITNESS SWIM**NEW** | Sept – Nov | Tuesday or Wednesday 7.00 - 8.00 | Thursday 1:00pm for daytime option
Must be a confident swimmer
The Adult fitness swim program is for individuals seeking an alternative to conventional fitness. The program is designed to enhance competitive swimming abilities, improve swim stroke technique and personal fitness. With proper training, you will build up endurance so you can swim continuously without stopping. You will also improve swim strokes and breathing through drills.
KIDS SPORT **complimentary for 8-12 year old Junior members**September 15| Tuesday 4:30-6:30 & Sunday 10:30-12:30|
We are happy to announce our brand new Kids Sport Class created for members 8-12 years old. Join us in the Multi Gym on Tuesday’s from 4:30-6:30 and Sunday’s from 10:30-12:30. These classes are designed to focus on different sports & athletic games where we have an emphasis on sport fundamentals, getting kids active and leadership capabilities. Tuesday activities entail: Warm up, Obstacle courses, Basketball, Fitness & Cool Down/ Stretch. Sunday activities entail:Warm up, soccer, floor hockey, fitness & Cool down/ Stretch.

KARATESeptember | Monday & Saturday | Various Start Times
Work with our Sensei’s to develop your skills and earn your belts over 13 weeks for session one.
NEW THIS YEAR: Mandatory Karate Assessment. Join us on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 11:45-12:15 for a complimentary assessment in order to find out which class will best suit your child’s needs. The Monday assessment has been CANCELLED due to the Sensei’s schedule, but we will be happy to assess you in the first class on Monday, September 16. This is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with the Sensei’s and be aware of your level.
Saturday classes begin September 14. Ages 4-6 run from 11:45-12:15, ages 7+ run from 12:15-1:00pm and ADVANCED CLASS from 1:00-1:45.
Monday classes begin September 16. Ages 4-6 run from 5:10-5:40pm, ages 7+ run from 5:45-6:30pm and ADVANCED CLASS from 6:30-7:15pm
