Mayfair West Pool Etiquette & Rules
Share the space. Swim smart. Be respectful.
Pools are unsupervised during regular hours (no lifeguard on duty).
General Pool Rules
- Children under 12 must be within arm’s reach of an adult (16+).
- Supervising swimmers requires full attention—no phones.
- Deck shoes, flip-flops, or Crocs preferred; no outdoor shoes on the pool deck.
- Shower before entering the pool or hot tub.
- Proper swimwear required (no jeans, track pants, or unwashed clothing).
- No diving, running, horseplay, abusive behavior, or intoxication.
- No jumping in the small pool.
- Water only on the deck; no glass or food.
- Do not swim with communicable illnesses or open sores.
Family Swim
- One family per lane, max 5 swimmers.
- Large mats allowed in the small pool, or in the big pool only during family swim.
- No standing on mats—use bellies, knees, or backs only.
Pool Etiquette
- Do not take toys from the swim lesson area.
- Toys from the bin may be used but must be returned after use.
- Kickboards, noodles, and dumbbells are available to use and return.
Lane Swim Etiquette
- Max 3 swimmers per lane.
- Lane sharing is required.
- Ask before entering a lane and choose a pace-appropriate lane.
- Allow 10 seconds between swimmers.
- Limit swims to 30 minutes when others are waiting.
Lane Movement:
- With lane ropes: Swim counter-clockwise, pass on the left, stop only at the wall.
- Without lane ropes: Swim straight and remain aware of others.
Master’s Swim
Wednesdays | 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Starts April 8 | $380
This class focuses on fitness, endurance, and efficiency. Swimmers must be proficient in front crawl, back crawl, and breaststroke. Instructors design workouts with drills, sprints, and hypoxic training to enhance technique and performance.

Swim Lesson Registration | Spring Session Open
Our Spring Swim Session runs for 9 weeks, with a 10th week reserved for makeup classes. Spots are limited, so register while space is available!

Bronze Medallion & Bronze Cross Classes
Friday | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Sunday | 2:30 PM – 4:40 PM
Prepare to become a lifeguard with training that challenges both mentally and physically. Bronze Medallion focuses on judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness, giving candidates the tools to make safe decisions in, on, and around water. Bronze Medallion is a prerequisite for Bronze Cross.
Prerequisite: Minimum 13 years old or Bronze Star certification (current certification not required).
Summer Camps | Registration Open
Our Splash & Laugh Camps combine recreational swimming and sports. Campers participate in water games and one hour of swim lessons with certified instructors.
- Swim lessons are group-based (1:6 ratio) and focus on stroke correction, body buoyancy, and skill development.
- Campers are grouped by skill level; no prior swimming experience required.
- Life jackets are provided at lower levels and removed as part of skill progression.
- Off the water, campers enjoy indoor games such as relay races, soccer, parachute play, freeze tag, kickball, and dance games.
- Lunch is provided for full-day and half-day morning campers. Please bring nut-free snacks for additional breaks.
